We are grateful for Brenda's 42 years of dedication to First Western and active involvement with her alma mater, Minot State. "Foster has been with First Western for 42 years and now holds the title of Chairman, President & CEO. During her 42 years at the bank, the industry has gone through many changes. 'I didn’t have a computer, of course, when I started, and while it is hard to think about now, we filed checks by hand, which was one of my first jobs. We physically met with other banks and exchanged checks for clearing,' she recalled. 'The changes have been remarkable. But, for First Western, our passion for the community and being a partner with the community hasn’t changed..."

Our Bismarck and Fargo Regions both volunteered at the 2024 Great Plains Food Bank Packathon 📦️ In total, our First Western teams were able to pack over 4️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ pounds of rice and peas for family and community members in need! Great Plains Food Bank partners with 205 food pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens in 102 communities across North Dakota and Clay County, Minnesota, providing 11.2 million meals to more than 156,000 individuals in need annually.  #youcanbankonus
